Started the business. Haven’t started the books?
Receipts everywhere
A glovebox full, a drawer full, a few buried in email. Every one that fades is a deduction you hand back to IRD.
The first GST return
You registered, the invoices went out, and now IRD wants a number you don’t have.
No system yet
Money’s coming in, nothing’s set aside, and the tax bill is a guess. The spreadsheet you started in week one didn’t survive week three.
The backlog is where Wrightly starts.
Hand the copilot your bank statements and the pile of receipts. It codes the lot for you to check, your GST and income tax numbers come right, and from there it keeps things tidy as you go.

Why Wrightly
Built for NZ
GST, provisional tax, ACC and IRD rules built in, not bolted onto overseas software.
Made for IRD
Your GST return and income tax, IR3 for sole traders and IR4 for companies, follow IRD’s own rules and boxes, so there are no nasty surprises when you file.
Your data stays yours
Export any time and delete on request. We never touch or move your money.
Prices held for you
We never raise prices on existing customers. The price you start on is the price you keep.
We’re just getting started.
Wrightly is new. We’re building it in the open and shaping it around what sole traders and small businesses actually tell us they need, so you might meet the odd rough edge along the way. When you do, let us know: we read every message and we move quickly to put things right.
None of that changes how we look after your data. Your financial records are handled to a high standard from day one. See how on our security page.
Questions, answered.
Is the free tier really free?
Yes, and there's no trial clock. The free plan covers your books and every tax feature: receipts, expenses, mileage, live GST tracking and filing-ready IR3 and IR4 income tax, with unlimited clients and unlimited quotes. The difference is it's hands-on: you enter and code things yourself, and you can send 5 invoices a month. Wrightly Plus adds the copilot that automates the data entry for you, and lifts invoicing to unlimited.
What does Wrightly Plus actually do?
Two things. It lifts the free plan's 5-invoice monthly cap to unlimited, and it does your data entry for you: the copilot reads your receipts and bank statements, categorises every line, matches receipts to the right bank transaction and publishes it all to your books. If it gets something wrong, one click reverts the whole batch.
How much is Wrightly Plus, and how does the trial work?
$19 a month plus GST, or $190 a year plus GST, which is two months free, about 17% off the monthly price. Every Plus plan opens with a 30-day free trial, so you can put unlimited invoices and the copilot to work before you're charged. Cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing.
Which banks can I connect?
Bank feeds for ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, Westpac and more, through open banking (Akahu), are coming soon as part of Wrightly Plus, read-only and revocable any time. Today you can bring in a bank statement and let the copilot read it.
Do you file to IRD for me?
Wrightly keeps your GST returns and your income tax return (IR3 for sole traders, IR4 for companies) filing-ready on every plan, so the numbers are already done when a return is due. Filing straight to IRD from inside Wrightly is coming soon; until then you copy the finished figures into myIR.
Do you handle my money?
No. Wrightly never touches your bank account or moves money, and connections are read-only. You keep full control of your accounts; we just read and organise the data.
Can my accountant use it too?
Yes. Wrightly is multi-member: invite your accountant or business partner into your organisation with their own login and the right role.
Can I connect my own AI or tools?
Yes, on every plan. Connect Claude with the one-click MCP connector, or use org-scoped API tokens for scripts and other clients. Everything the app can do, from receipts and invoices to GST summaries and publishing line items, is available as tools.
